My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay… I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream,” she says, “It’s not an underground tool for me. It’s my whole life. But on a serious note, I have no problem with the gays. I love the gays. I just have a problem with everyone in the world being gay. I mean, procreation would be a lot more complicated than it is now, wouldn’t it? If all the boys liked boys and all the girls liked girls, who’d be making the babies? I’ll tell you who. No one. Which would result in the unseemly demise of the human race. You see that, people? That’s called responsible journalism. Bask in it. Jay-Z And Lady Gaga To Perform At 2009 VMAs by ThisizGame It was already shaping up to be a pretty huge night, but now, the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards have gotten even bigger. Or at least grittier and glammier. That's because Jay-Z and Lady Gaga have been booked to perform at the VMAs, joining an already impressive list that includes Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink and Muse. Jay — whose gnarly "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)" is up for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Male Video — will perform a song from his hotly anticipated The Blueprint 3 album, due September 11. The glittery Gaga — who, along with Beyoncé, leads everyone with nine VMA nods — will perform a single from her breakthrough The Fame album. "I'm simply gutted to be both a performer and nominee at the 2009 VMAs," Gaga said. "In fact, I'm so happy, I could die." In addition to the performers, there are some big-name presenters to add to the show too. Nelly Furtado, Miranda Cosgrove and "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester — who is up for Best Pop Video and Best Direction for Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad" — will be on hand to, well, hand out the awards. They join Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Chace Crawford, who have already been announced as VMA presenters. But who will they be presenting the awards to? Well, that's up to you. Voting for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards is under way over at VMA.MTV.com. Verizon Wireless subscribers can also vote by texting VMA to 97979. Dr. Dre Teams With Hewlett-Packard To Improve Sound by ThisizGame Dr. Dre is part of an ambitious plan being launched by Hewlett-Packard and Interscope CEO Jimmy Iovine, to improve the sound quality of digital music. Under the new agreement, Hewlett-Packard’s laptops and headsets will feature the Beats by Dr. Dre software starting this Fall according to CNET. "We have to fix the entire chain," Iovine told CNET. "Our position is to go to all the sources and try to improve sound and educate people. We can't put anything weak in the line. Whoever puts out things that sound bad shouldn't be as cool as something that sounds great." The goal is to improve the quality of digital sound files. Last year, Dr. Dre and Iovine teamed with Monster Cable and released their Beats By Dr. Dre headphones in a first attempt to address the issues with digital files. Celebrities like LeBron James, Snoop Dogg and Kobe Bryant have been seen wearing the high-end headphones, which retail for around $300 dollars. "I just want our product to sound better," Iovine said. "The record business committed many, many mistakes in the last 10 years, and I'm right in there. One of them was letting its product get degraded. It's one thing to let it get stolen, it's another to allow it to be degraded because then you really don't have a chance...video games and TV quality are getting better and the quality of our work is getting lower. If that happens, then music will become disposable. That's something we can fix." The news comes as Dr. Dre puts the finishing touches on his long-awaited album, Detox, which is scheduled to hit stores sometime this year. |

Kourtney Kardashian Is Pregnant! by ThisizGame Kourtney Kardashian is going to be a mom! While the E! reality star confirms she's pregnant with her first child, Ms. K isn't revealing too much right now. She's keeping mum on the daddy's identity and how far along she is. Kourt, 30, refused to say if she and ex-boyfriend Scott Disick are back together. 'THE GOODS' ACTRESS NOUREEN DEWULF by Screen Junkies Another hot actress from The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard? Crap, I already used a "she's got 'the goods'" joke yesterday with Jordana Spiro. Gotta think of another title-pertinent description for Noureen Dewulf... Oh, I got it: Noureen Dewulf is no "hard sell." Goodness, that's brilliant. The young actress first started gaining attention in the Oscar-winning short film West Bank Story. Since then, she's had a steady stream of work that includes both film and TV, including The Ghosts Of Girlfriend's Past, Oceans 13, and "Chuck." Did I mention she's gotten all these jobs in about a two-year span? At this rate, expect Noureen to be huge in another two. A word from Noureen: "I think the most important thing women look for in men is a level of comfort in your life, if you're nerdy, be nerdy, if you're cool and super talkative, be that. I'm attracted to people who are comfortable with themselves and are proud to be that way." Maybe I shouldn't have written out that inner monologue about me struggling for a joke; that wasn't confident at all. I blew what little chances I had with her already. WAS MICHAEL JACKSON BODY PUT TO REST? AUTOPSY REPORTS ARE IN! by Miss Xpose Some media reports are revealing that MJ’s body was laid to rest last Thursday. Sources say it was a low-key, private ceremony at Hollywood’s Forest Lawn Cemetery which was attended by a dozen people. According to WENN, Joe Jackson, MJ’s father and sister La Toya are said to have been the only family members present. A cemetery source told the Web site: “Michael has already been laid to rest, but other than the Jackson family and the management at Forest Lawn, no one knows the exact spot. Staff at the cemetery have been fed several different locations, it’s as if they are hoping to confuse everyone so it can’t leak out. The fear is that thousands of Jackson fans will descend on the cemetery and create a security issue or maybe even damage or deface the grave. If the grave’s security is threatened, the Jacksons have reportedly identified four other sites - including the star’s former home Neverland and a memorial site in Las Vegas - they will consider moving the body to.” MJ’s grandmother is also buried at Forest Lawn. MJ’s body was temporarily interred there for the past six weeks. In related news, the autopsy is complete however at press time LA County Coroner’s Office would not announce the results due to indefinite security hold at the request of the LAPD.
