An electronic cigarette, also known as an e-cigarette, personal vaporiser or PV, is an electronic inhaler that vaporises a liquid solution into an aerosol mist, simulating the act of tobacco smoking. Electronic cigarettes are no longer marketed as smoking cessation aids or tobacco replacement in most countries. There may be similarities between conventional and some electronic cigarettes in the physical design and the nicotine release, which may approximate the same amount of nicotine as a conventional cigarette. There are many electronic cigarettes which do not resemble conventional cigarettes at all. The amount of nicotine contained can be chosen by the user, with some choosing no nicotine at all. The benefits and risks of electronic cigarette use are uncertain among health organizations and researchers. Limited controlled studies are available due to its recent invention. Laws vary widely concerning the use and sale of electronic cigarettes and accompanying liquid solutions, with pending legislation and ongoing debate.
that appeal is under way, meaning only Plan B One-Step would appear on drugstore shelves until the case is finally settled. If Korman's order isn't suspended during the appeals process, the result would be "substantial market confusion, harming FDA's and the public's interest" as drugstores receive conflicting orders about who's allowed to buy what, the Justice Department concluded.Reluctant to get drawn into a messy second-term spat over social issues, White House officials insisted Wednesday that both the FDA and the Justice Department were acting independently of the White House in deciding how to proceed. But the decision to appeal was certain to irk abortion-rights advocates who say they can't understand why a Democratic president is siding with social conservatives in favor of limiting women's reproductive choices.Current and former White House aides said Obama's approach to the issue has been heavily influenced by his experience as the father of two school-age daughters. Obama and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius have also questioned whether there's enough data available to show the morning-after pill is safe and appropriate for younger girls, even though physicians groups insist that it is.Rather than take matters into his own hands, the Justice Department argued to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that Korman should have ordered the FDA to reconsider its options for regulating emergency contraception. Sept. 4, 2011: Shown here is the main plant facility at the Navajo Generating Station, as seen from Lake Powell in Page, Ariz.APPresident Obama, in each of his last three State of the Union addresses, spoke urgently of the need to cut through the "red tape" in Washington. But regulatory costs for the American public and business community, it turns out, soared during his first term. A new report by the conservative Heritage Foundation estimates that annual regulatory costs increased during Obama's first four years by nearly $70 billion -- with more regulations in store for term two."While historical records are incomplete, that magnitude of regulation is likely unmatched by any administration in the nation's history," the report said. The analysis by Heritage did not count every single regulation issued in Obama's first term, but looked at "major" regulations impacting the private sector. It came up with 131 over the past four years -- many of them environmental. In addition to the $70 billion in annual costs from those rules, the report estimated that new regulations from the first term led to roughly $12 billion in one-time "implementation costs."The math is up for debate. Even Heritage acknowledges there is no "official accounting" for federal regulatory costs. But government agencies, as well as think tanks like Heritage, have tried to track the price tag by looking at records maintained by the Government Accountability Office and age

A garden hose, hosepipe or simply hose is a flexible tube used to convey water. There are a number of common attachments available for the end of the hose, such as sprayers and sprinklers (which are used to concentrate water at one point or spread it over a large area). Hoses are usually attached to a hose spigot (tap). Garden hoses are commonly green and often black, but can also be found in a variety of other colors. Garden hoses are typically made of synthetic rubber or soft plastic, reinforced with an internal web of fibers. As a result of these materials, garden hoses are flexible and their smooth exterior facilitates pulling them past trees, posts and other obstacles. Garden hoses are also generally tough enough to survive scraping on rocks and being stepped on without damage or leaking. Most garden hoses are not rated for use with hot water, and their packaging will generally specify whether or not this is the case. Typical hoses used for filling of the potable water tanks in recreational vehicles are similar to garden hoses but are made of nonporous materials that are less likely to collect bacteria or affect the water's taste. They are colored white as a distinguishing characteristic. The term "hosepipe" is chiefly British, South African and southern U.S. usage; "hose" or "garden hose" is the predominant term in other English-speaking countries. The term "hose" is also used for other types of flexible, water-carrying tubes such as those used by fire departments.

"That offers a backstop to the family."Judge Martin said repeatedly that his decision to grant Tounisi release was a close call. He told Tounisi's father, Ahmad Tounisi, that a landline must be installed in the Aurora family home before his son could be released to comply with home confinement and electronic monitoring. The judge told Tounisi's father that he will be obliged to contact authorities immediately if his son takes "one step out of the house." The elder Tounisi said he understood and would comply.Tounisi would be released on a $50,000 unsecured bond, meaning neither he nor his family would be required to put the money down to secure his release. But if he fled, the court would order payment of the full $50,000.Tounisi, a U.S. citizen, was snared in an Internet sting after contacting a sham website set up by the FBI that purported to connect would-be fighters with terrorists, federal prosecutors said.He is charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to a forei
In the height of the 2012 election cycle, Islamist militants laid siege to and overran a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya. This posed huge dangers to President Obama's re-election effort.Obama's greatest political asset was his success in preventing a large-scale attack on the U.S. by Islamists. Obama had authorized the raid that killed 9/11 mastermind Usama bin Laden and shown a willingness to kill other terrorists with the kind of enthusiasm not associated with a man who campaigned in opposition to the Iraq war.If there were any thought that Obama were not sound on national security, his re-election, then looking likely, would be in big trouble. It was especially troublesome that the attack occurred in a country that was the centerpiece of Obama's Middle East policy, where he had helped depose a secular government and install an Islamist one in its place.Republican candidate Mitt Romney tried to jump on the topic and managed to be overeager and equivocating all at once. Romney ended up discussing the contents of Twitter messages surrounding the attack and defending himself against charges of politicizing the deaths of Americans. While Democratic operatives had Team Romney pinned down on his Tweet talk, Obama and his advisers formulated a response. Power Play was in Chicago the day after the attack for meetings with the Obama campaign, but word came mid-morning that no visit would occur in light of the Benghazi raid. What resul

Online dating (OD) or Internet dating is a dating system which allows individuals to make contact and communicate with each other over the Internet, usually with the objective of developing a personal, romantic, or sexual relationship. Online dating services usually provide unmoderated matchmaking over the Internet, through the use of personal computers or cell phones. Online dating services generally require a prospective member to provide personal information, before they can search the service provider's database for other individuals using criteria they set, such as age range, gender and location. Online dating sites use market metaphor[clarification needed] to properly match people up.[1] Most sites allow members to upload photos of themselves and browse the photos of others. Sites may offer additional services, such as webcasts, online chat, telephone chat (VOIP), and message boards. Some sites provide free registration, but may offer services which require a monthly fee. Other sites depend on advertising for their revenue. And some sites such as Badoo are free and then offer additional paid services in a freemium revenue model.[2] Many sites are broad-based, with members coming from a variety of backgrounds looking for different types of relationships. Other sites are more specific, based on the type of members, interests, location, or relationship desired. A 2005 study of data collected by the Pew Internet & American Life Project found that individuals are more likely to use an online dating service if they use the internet for a greater amount of tasks and less likely to use such a service if they are trusting of others.[3]

In the United States, a credit score is a number based on a statistical analysis of a person's credit files, that in theory represents the creditworthiness of that person, which is the likelihood that people will pay their bills. A credit score is primarily based on credit report information, typically from one of the three major credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. Income is not considered by the major credit bureaus when calculating a credit score. There are different methods of calculating credit scores. FICO, the most widely known type of credit score, is a credit score developed by FICO, previously known as Fair Isaac Corporation. It is used by many mortgage lenders that use a risk-based system to determine the possibility that the borrower may default on financial obligations to the mortgage lender. All credit scores have to be subject to availability. The credit bureaus all have their own credit scores: Equifax's ScorePower, Experian's PLUS score, and TransUnion's credit score, and each also sells the VantageScore credit score. In addition, many large lenders, including the major credit card issuers, have developed their own proprietary scoring models. Studies have shown scores to be predictive of risk in the underwriting of both credit and insurance.[15][16][17] Some studies even suggest that most consumers are the beneficiaries of lower credit costs and insurance premiums due to the use of credit scores.[16][18] New credit scores have been developed in the last decade by companies such as Scorelogix, PRBC, L2C, Innovis etc. which do not use bureau data to predict creditworthiness. Scorelogix's JSS Credit Score uses a different set of risk factors, such as the borrower's job stability, income, income sufficiency, and impact of economy, in predicting credit risk, and the use of such alternative credit scores is on the rise. These new breed of credit scores are often combined with FICO or bureau scores to improve the accuracy of predictions. Most lenders today use some combination of bureau scores and alternative credit scores to develop a better insight into their borrower's ability to pay. It is widely recognized that FICO is measure of past ability to pay and that's why new credit scores that focus more on future ability to pay are being deployed to enhance credit risk models. L2C offers an alternative credit score that uses utilities payment histories to determine creditworthiness and many lenders use this score in addition to bureau scores to make lending decisions. Many lenders use Scorelogix's JSS score in addition to bureau scores since the JSS score factors job and income stability to determine if the borrower will have the ability to repay debt in the future. It is estimated that FICO score will remain the dominant score but in all likelihood it will always be used in conjunction with other alternative credit scores which offer new layers of risk insights.
